On Friday, you will learn to harness the power of freestyle hip-hop for your improv. You will gain the skills to blend rhymes and play with rhythmic patterns. On Saturday, you will receive a complete introduction to musical improv. Through the use of emotion, strong points of view, and big character choices, students will learn to trust their authentic musical voice. By the end of the day, students will be able to craft songs that heighten scenes and delight audiences.
About Raquel Palmas
Raquel started her improv journey in 2013 at the PIT and the UCB in New York. Since 2023, she has been cast member at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. Rachel has toured with musical improv groups such as North Coast and Baby Wants Candy performing at many festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe. Her stage credits include Shamilton, Thrones, it’s not a trip it’s a journey, and Cartography.
